Coge un puñao de arena fina
extiendela por tu camino
baja hasta el fondo de tu alma y comprenderás
que en la vida solo manda y el destino

Dime quien soy yo
la que manda la que ordena
la que lleva el timon
la que sufre las penas
Pero dime quien soy yo
la que canta cuando llora
la que rie en los momentos
cuando la pena me ahoga

Y acariciame la cara
que me ves llorando
y no sientes nada

Le doy gracias a la vida
porque tengo lo que quiero
alguien que por mi suspira
aunque sea desde el cielo
cicatriza las heridas
que aparecen en mis sueños
y ha veces se pone triste
sabe que la hecho de menos

Y acariciame la cara
que me ves llorando
y no sientes nada

Y amando
y a amar se aprende amando
y amando
y no aprendiste nada
y amandote
te di lo que tenia
y amando
y ya no tengo nada

Y acariciame la cara
que me ves llorando
y no sientes nada.

Mele Kalikimaka
Bing Crosby
(Hawaiian Christmas Song)
COMPOSER: ROBERT ALEX ANDERSON
ALBUM: IT’S CHRISTMAS
LABEL: BEST OF CHRISTMAS
GENRE: CHRISTMAS SONG
YEAR: 2009

"Mele Kalikimaka" is a Hawaiian-themed Christmas song written in 1949 by Robert Alex Anderson. The song takes its title from the Hawaiian phrase, "Mele Kalikimaka," meaning "Merry Christmas". The phrase is borrowed directly from English but since Hawaiian has a different phonological system—Hawaiian does not have the /r/or/s/ of English and its phonotactic constraints do not permit consonants at the end of syllables or consonant clusters—"Merry Christmas" becomes "Mele Kalikimaka". One of the earliest recordings of this song was by Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters in 1950 on Decca 27228 (78 rpm) / 9-27228 (45 rpm) and it has been covered by many artists. The song is notably featured in the films L.A. Confidential and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
The Beach Boys recorded a song of the same name for their album Ultimate Christmas, but it contains lyrics and music completely different from the song written by Robert Alex Anderson.

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say Merry Christmas to you

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say Merry Christmas to you

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say Merry Christmas to you

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say Merry Christmas
A very Merry Christmas
A very, very, Merry,Merry Christmas to you

In my place, in my place,
Were lines that I couldn't change,
I was lost, oh yeah.

And I was lost, I was lost,
Crossed lines I shouldn't have crossed,
I was lost, oh yeah.

Yeah, how long must you wait for it?
Yeah, how long must you pay for it?
Yeah, how long must you wait for it?
Oh for it, yeah

I was scared, I was scared,
Tired and under prepared,
But I'll wait for it.

And if you go, if you go,
And leave me down here on my own,
Then I'll wait for you, yeah.

Yeah, how long must you wait for it?
Yeah, how long must you pay for it?
Yeah, how long must you wait for it?
Oh for it, yeah

Sing it please, please, please,
Come back and sing to me,
To me, me.

Come on and sing it out, now, now.
Come on and sing it out, to me, me
Come back and sing.

In my place, in my place,
Were lines that I couldn't change,
I was lost, oh yeah.
Oh yeah.

[Intro: John Legend]
Who do we think we are?
Baby, tell me, who do we think we are?

[Verse 1: John Legend]
We can't run out of magic
It's the only way we know
Let's trip the night fantastic
Light it up 'til we both explode
We love, we love, we love the stars
We could fall so hard
The drinks, the minks, the jewels, the house, the cars
Why'd we ball so hard?
Yeah, and I, I'm not afraid to fly
Here we are, in the air, barely breathing
And we're not afraid to die

[Hook: John Legend]
Who do we think we are?
Baby, tell me, who do we think we are?
Who do we think we are?
Baby, tell me, who do we think we are?

[Bridge: John Legend]
We've got a lot of nerve, girl
We walk around here like we own this place

[Verse 2: Rick Ross]
See my jewels dripping on my Timberlands
Stepping like a criminal, success is so imminent
Pink champagne, black Rolls Royce
Eggplant double-breasted suit from Tom Ford
Bon voyage, left haters in the fog
Look up in the sky, bet you recognize a boss
Look into my eyes as I fantasize for us
Still actin' shy like this is summer class crush
Money comin' fast, I'm never in a rush, no
Plus another twenty in a tuck
Semi in a truck, another forty on the wrist
Quarter-mill on my mind got me livin' like I pitch
Dodging Robin Givens, boiling like I'm Roger Clemens
Still in the game, uniform all linen
She get Chanel, ski trips to Vail
Only the highest grade, like trees that I inhale

[Hook: John Legend]
And I, I'm not afraid to fly
Here we are, in the air, barely breathing
And we're not afraid to die
Who do we think we are?
Baby, tell me, who do we think we are?
Who do we think we are?
Baby, tell me, who do we think we are?

[Outro: John Legend]
Who do we think we are?
I don't know about y'all, but I feel good tonight
There's something in the air tonight
You know, everyone needs someone to look up to
Why shouldn't it be us?
Who do we think we are?
Tell me, who do we think we are?
Who do we think we are?
Tell me, who do we think we are?
