No I can't forget this evening
Or your face as you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way
The story goes
You always smile but in your eyes
Your sorrow shows
Yes it shows
No I can't forget tomorrow
When I think of all my sorrow
When I had you there
But then I let you go
And now it's only fair
That I should let you know
What you should know

I can't live
If living is without you
I can't live
I can't give anymore
I can't live
If living is without you
I can't give
I can't give anymore

Well I can't forget this evening
Or your face as you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way
The story goes
You always smile but in your eyes
Your sorrow shows
Yes it shows

I can't live...I Can't Live...
DREAM WEAVER
GARY WRIGHT
SONGWRITER: GARY WRIGHT
COUNTRY: U.S.A.
ALBUM: THE DREAM WEAVER
LABEL: WARNER BROS RECORDS
GENRE: SOFT ROCK
YEAR: 1975

"Dream Weaver" is a song by Gary Wright that was a hit single in the US, reaching #2 in the Billboard charts while it reached #1 in the Cash Box charts in 1976. Taken from the album The Dream Weaver released the previous year, it features Wright on vocals and keyboards, and Jim Keltner on drums. In 1992, Gary Wright re-recorded a longer version of "Dream Weaver" for the Wayne's World movie soundtrack.
According to Gary Wright, the song was inspired by Autobiography of a Yogi, which was given to him by George Harrison. Paramhansa Yogananda's poem "God! God! God!" made reference to "the idea of the mind weaving dreams." The expression "Dream Weaver" was popularized by John Lennon in 1970 in his song "God", taken from his solo album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. This song depicts Lennon's declaration that he was the dream weaver of the 1960s, breaking away from the influences and dogmas that influenced his life.

I've just closed my eyes again
Climbed aboard the dream weaver train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind

Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget today's pain

Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget today's pain

Though the dawn may be coming soon
There still may be some time
Fly me away to the bright side of the moon
And meet me on the other side

Ooh dream weaver
I believe you can get me through the night
Ooh dream weaver
I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies
Maybe to an astral plane
Cross the highways of fantasy
Help me to forget today's pain

Ba ba ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba
Ba ba ba ba ba ba

Looky over there
Sunshine in her hair
That's my girl
Her name is Skooby Doo
Doncha like her smile
Doncha like her style
You know I'd walk
A mile for Skooby Doo
Oh, my Skooby Doo

I do what you want me to
Oh, my Skooby Doo
You've got my only head a'reeling
All the time
Feeling so good (so good)

Feeling so good
Any time at all
I wanna have a ball
All I do is call
My Skooby Doo

She can make me laugh
In a minute and a half
Yes, I'm going daft
With Skooby Doo
Oh my, I love you
Skooby Doo, I love you

I said a S-k-o-o-b-y-d-o-o
Oh, oh, oh, oh .
Diamonds in a ring
Presents I could bring
Wouldn't mean a
Thing to Skooby Doo

Sunday after mass
Picnic in the grass
Digging Mama Cass
With Skooby Doo
(So good) Feeling so good

Whoppa bow bow
Whoppa bow bow
Whoppa bow bow

My Skooby Doo (Feeling so good)
