Leonard Cohen is a Canadian singer-songwriter and poet active in music since 1967. Cohen has released 13º studio albums and 6 live albums during the course of a recording career lasting almost 50 years, throughout which he has remained an active poet. His entire catalogue is available on Columbia Records. His 1967 debut Songs of Leonard Cohen earned an RIAA gold record; he followed up with three more highly acclaimed albums: Songs From A Room (1969), Songs of Love and Hate (1971) and New Skin For The Old Ceremony (1974), before allowing Phil Spector to produce Death of a Ladies' Man for Warner Bros. Records in 1977. Cohen returned to Columbia in 1979 for Recent Songs, but the label declined to release his next album, Various Positions (1984) in the US, leaving it to American shops to import it from CBS Canada. In 1988, Columbia got behind Cohen again and gave full support to I'm Your Man, which brought his career to new heights, and Cohen followed it with 1992's The Future. Cohen then took a nine-year hiatus, and returned with Ten New Songs in (2001), which he made with Sharon Robinson, following this with Dear Heather (2004). In 2008 Cohen began touring for the first time in 15 years and, as well as the release of several live albums, he released Old Ideas (2012) which peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. This was the highest ranking ever for a Leonard Cohen album, and became his first to top the Canadian Albums Chart, a feat he repeated with his followup, Popular Problems, released in 2014. His live albums include Live Songs (1973), Cohen Live: Leonard Cohen in Concert (1994), Live in London (2009) and Songs from the Road, (2010) from his 2008–2009 world tour, and Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 (2009).

O crown of light, o darkened one
I never thought we'd meet
You kiss my lips, and then it's done
I'm back on boogie street

A sip of wine, a cigarette
And then it's time to go
I tidied up the kitchenette
I tuned the old banjo
I'm wanted at the traffic jam
They're saving me a seat
I'm what I am, and what I am
Is back on boogie street

And o my love, I still recall
The pleasures that we knew
The rivers and the waterfall
Wherein I bathed with you
Bewildered by your beauty there
I'd kneel to dry your feet
By such instructions you prepare
A man for boogie street

O crown of light, o darkened one?

So come, my friends, be not afraid
We are so lightly here
It is in love that we are made
In love we disappear
Tho' all the maps of blood and flesh
Are posted on the door
There's no one who has told us yet
What boogie street is for

O crown of light, o darkened one
I never thought we'd meet
You kiss my lips, and then it's done
I'm back on boogie street

A sip of wine, a cigarette

And then it's time to go

Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Io soffro più ancora di te.

Diceva le cose che dici tu,
aveva gli stessi occhi che hai tu.
Mi avevi abbandonata ed io mi son trovata
a un tratto già abbracciata a lui.

Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Io soffro più ancora di te.
Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Il male, l'ho fatto più a me.

A volte piangendo non vedi più,
da come ha sorriso, sembravi tu.

Di notte è molto strano,
ma il fuoco di un cerino
ti sembra il sole
che non hai.

Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Io soffro più ancora di te.
Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Il male, l'ho fatto più a me.

Di notte è molto strano
ma il fuoco di un cerino
ti sembra il sole
che non hai.

Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Io soffro più ancora di te.
Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Il male, l'ho fatto più a me.

Perdono, perdono, perdono!
Io soffro più ancora di te.
Perdono, perdono, perdono!

Io soffro più ancora di te.

She’s on a Friday Night Express
She got her nails done and a brand new dress
She got a secret in her eyes that even make-up can’t disguise
And all that matters is right now

A melody is on her lips
She feels a tingle in her fingertips
Tonight the worlds a friendly place and all her troubles melt away
And all that matters is right now
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high (so high)

Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high (so high)

She falls relentlessly in love
And she will never try to get me down
Just dictated by the crush, so addicted to the rush
All that matters is right now

Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high (so high)

Gone with the wind, not coming down till it’s over
Ready to fly one more time

Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather (she flies like a feather)
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high (so high)

Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high
Gone with the wind and she flies like a feather
Gone with the wind and the wind’s gonna take her high, so high
