Bill Withers was inspired to write this song by the film Days of Wine and Roses (1962). He said about its characters "They were both alcoholics who were alternately weak and strong. It's like going back for seconds on rat poison. Sometimes you miss things that weren't particularly good for you. It's just something that crossed my mind from watching that movie, and probably something else that happened in my life that I'm not aware of."

Just As I Am is the debut studio album of American soul musician Bill Withers, released in 1971 on Sussex Records. The album features the hit single "Ain't No Sunshine", which was ranked at number 280 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of Booker T. Jones produced, arranged, and played keyboards and guitar on Just As I Am, alongside bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn and drummer Al Jackson Jr. of Booker T. & the M.G.'s, with Stephen Stills on lead guitar. The album was later reissued as a dual disc with a second disc featuring all the tracks in 5.1 Surround Sound.

That Bad Eartha is a 1954 studio album by American singer Eartha Kitt, her debut 12" vinyl album issued by RCA Victor. The album was recorded in four sessions between March and October 1953 with Henri Rene and His Orchestra. Long-playing records were introduced in 1948 by Columbia with 10" albums as the popular music format and the 12" album the format for classical music. RCA introduced the 45 RPM format shortly afterwards. In May 1953 RCA Victor released the 10" vinyl álbum RCA Victor Presents Eartha Kitt which reached No. 2 on the pop albums chart and featured 8 songs. By the mid-50s, 10” LPs were phased out, replaced by 12” ones for popular as well as classical music, and RCA Victor expanded and re-issued the album with 12 tracks.

RCA released her second album in the 10” popular format and reissued it a year later in the now established 12” format with additional songs. It was also released in a 45 RPM extended play version with two songs on each side of a disk. That Bad Eartha spent 12 weeks on the pop albums chart, peaking at No. 5.

Several singles were issued from this album, "Under the Bridges of Paris" charted in the UK singles chart in 1955 at #7.

Many of the songs recorded for this album, such as "C'est si bon", "Uska Dara" and "I Want to Be Evil" became closely associated with Eartha Kitt and were performed live by her until one of her last concerts at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, shortly before her death in December 2008. The complete album was re-issued on CD in 1994 as part of the Bear Family Records five-CD boxset Eartha – Quake; this included "Santa Baby" and several other tracks from the same recording session not included in this album.

"Stumblin' In" is a song written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, performed by Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro. Originally released as a standalone single, it was later added to some editions of the Quatro álbum If You Knew Suzi...

The single peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. The song was Quatro's only US Top 40 hit and Norman's lone US charting effort apart from the band Smokie. In the UK Singles Chart, where the song was also Norman's only chart hit as a solo artist, the disc hit the listing on 11 November 1978 and peaked at number 41 with eight weeks in the chart. It reached #11 on the Canada RPM Chart, but went to #1 on the Canada Adult Contemporary Chart. It was Norman's first single as a solo artist.

Namibian Singer Nianell and South African singer Dozi recorded a version in 2009 on their cover duets album It Takes Two.

In 1979, Al Bano and Romina Power made a cover version in French under the title "Et je suis à toì". German singers Bernd Clüver and Marion Maerz recorded a German version in the same year under the title "Schau mal herein (die Tasse Kaffee)". There is also a Hungarian version under the title "A szerelem él" recorded by Csuka Mónika and Korda György with the "Express Együttes" in 1982. Danish Gry Meilstrup and German Bernd Vonficht have recorded a cover on their 1989 album "Moments In Love" as Bo Andersen and Bernie Gold.

Susan Kay Quatro(born June 3, 1950) is an American rock singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actress. She was the first female bass player to become a major rock star.:1–3

In the 1970s, Quatro scored a string of hit singles that found greater success in Europe and Australia than in her homeland. She reached no. 1 in the UK and other European countries and Australia with her singles "Can the Can" (1973) and "Devil Gate Drive" (1974). Following a recurring role as bass player Leather Tuscadero on the popular American sitcom Happy Days, her duet "Stumblin' In" with Smokie's lead singer Chris Norman reached No. 4 in the US.

Quatro released her eponymous debut album in 1973. Since then, she has released fifteen studio albums, ten compilation albums, and one live album. Her other solo hits include "48 Crash", "Daytona Demon", "The Wild One", and "Your Mama Won't Like Me".

Between 1973 and 1980, Quatro was awarded six Bravo Ottos. In 2010, she was voted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends online Hall of Fame. Quatro has sold over 50 million albums and continues to perform live, worldwide. Her most recent studio album was released in 2019 and she also continues to present new radio programmes.

Christopher Ward Norman (born 25 October 1950) is an English soft rock singer. Norman was the lead singer of Smokie, an English soft rock band which found success in Europe in the 1970s. "Stumblin' In", a 1978 duet with Suzi Quatro, was a big US hit.

Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira, conhecida simplesmente como Simone (Salvador, 25 de dezembro de 1949), é uma cantora brasileira.

Antes de se tornar conhecida do público brasileiro, participou de uma turnê internacional em 1973, organizada por aquele que se tornaria um dos seus grandes incentivadores, Hermínio Bello de Carvalho. A excursão, intitulada Panorama Brasileiro, incluía no roteiro o Olympia em Paris, entre outras cidades europeias. Em 1974, Festa Brasil percorre vinte cidades dos Estados Unidos, além do palco do teatro anexo do Madison Square Garden, em Nova York. A turnê foi um grande sucesso e originou os discos Brasil Export 73 e Festa Brasil(lançado nos Estados Unidos) - ambos produzidos por Hermínio Bello, que ainda produziria os dois álbuns subsequentes, Quatro Paredes e Gotas d´Água; neste último a produção foi realizada em parceria com Milton Nascimento. Em 1976, ao lado de Vinícius de Moraes e Toquinho, participa do Circuito Universitário, uma série de apresentações, que além do Brasil, viajou à Argentina, Uruguai, Chile e México. Naquele ano, o filme Dona Flor e Seus Dois Maridos, apresentou em sua trilha sonora a versão interpretada por Simone da composição O Que Será, de Chico Buarque, fazendo com que cantora despontasse nacionalmente para o sucesso.

No ano seguinte realizou a primeira apresentação solo, o show Face a Face, no (Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, com direção de Antonio Bivar). O ano marcaria o primeiro grande momento de reconhecimento, com as canções Gota d'Água, Face a Face, Jura Secreta e O Que Será. No Projeto Seis e Meia foi ovacionada por crítica e público quando interpretou Gota d'Água, considerada uma das melhores apresentações da sua carreira.
