On a cent mille choses à dire

On a toujours oublié quelque chose

On va descendre ensemble si tu veux

I swear to God, when I come home
I'm gonna hold you so close
I swear to God, when I come home, I'll never let go

Like a river, I flow to the ocean I know
You pull me close, guiding me home

And I need you to know that we're
Fallin' so fast, we're fallin' like the stars, fallin' in love

And I'm not scared to say those words
With you I'm safe, we're fallin' like the stars, we're fallin' in love

I swear to God, I can see
Four kids and no sleep
We'll have one on each knee, you and me, hmm
And when they've grown up
You're still the girl in the club
When I held your hair up, 'cause you had too much

And I need you to know that we're
Fallin' so fast, we're fallin' like the stars, fallin' in love

And I'm not scared to say those words
With you I'm safe, we're fallin' like the stars, fallin' in love

I swear to God, every day
He won't take you away
'Cause without you, babe, I lose my way

Oh, I'm in love (I'm in love)
Oh, I'm in love (I'm in love)
Oh, I'm in love (I'm in love)
Oh, I'm in love (I'm in love)
Oh, I'm in love (I'm in love)
Oh, I'm in love (fallin' like the stars)

And I need you to know that we're
Fallin' so fast, we're fallin' like the stars, fallin' in love

And I'm not scared to say those words
With you I'm safe, we're fallin' like the stars, we're fallin' in love.

It takes a crane to build a crane
It takes two floors to make a story
It takes an egg to make a hen
It takes a hen to make an egg
There is no end to what I'm saying

It takes a thought to make a word
And it takes some words to make an action
It takes some work to make it work
It takes some good to make it hurt
It takes some bad for satisfaction

La la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life goes full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la

It takes a night to make it dawn
And it takes a day to make you yawn, brother
And it takes some old to make you young
It takes some cold to know the sun
It takes the one to have the other

And it takes no time to fall in love
But it takes you years to know what love is
And it takes some fears to make you trust
It takes those tears to make it rust
It takes some dust to have it polished

Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life goes full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la

It takes some silence to make sound
And it takes some loss before you found me
And it takes a road to go nowhere
It takes a toll to make you care
It takes a hole to make a mountain

Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life goes full circle
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la la life is meaningful
Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful
Ah la la la la la

It is so wonderful
It is so meaningful
It is so wonderful
It is meaningful
It is wonderful
It is meaningful

It goes full circle
Wonderful
Meaningful
Full circle
Wonderful.

NO TIME FOR TALK

CHRISTOPHER CROSS
SONGWRITER: CHRISTOPHER C. CROSS
COUNTRY: U. S. A.
ALBUM: ANOTHER PAGE
LABEL: WARNER RECORDS
GENRE: SOFT ROCK
YEAR: 1983

Christopher Cross(born Christopher Charles Geppert; May 3, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and composer from San Antonio, Texas. Cross won five Grammy Awards for his eponymous debut album released in 1979. The singles "Sailing" (1980), and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" (from the 1981 film Arthur) peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. "Sailing" earned three Grammys in 1981, while "Arthur's Theme" won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1981 (with co-composers Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, and Peter Allen).
Another Page is Christopher Cross's second studio album, recorded in 1982 and released in early 1983. It was not as commercially successful as its predecessor (it was certified Gold by the RIAA, but only after his self-titled debut album had already been certified Platinum by the time of the release of Another Page). "Think of Laura", taken from the album as Cross's third single, reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. It was Cross' final single to reach the Top 10. The first single, "All Right", reached #12 on the chart a year before. As a single, "No Time For Talk" peaked at #33. "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" appeared as a bonus track on the cassette and later CD releases of the album.
An instrumental version of "No Time for Talk" appeared in the movie American Anthem, which was composed by the song's co-author and producer of Another Page, Michael Omartian.
Well I read it in town in the melancholy news
The front page story is our love is through
The hand of time is cold -- I can't stand to hear the truth
Somehow I won't believe it 'til I've heard it from you

But there's no time for talk
And there's no place for tears
There's no reason to wonder after all of these years
Sure we had some good times
And so who's to blame
It's so hard to tell when you both feel the pain

After the years have come and gone
The struggle to forget you will have just begun
We had our ups and downs but one thing's for sure
No one will ever love you more.
