William James Dixon(July 1, 1915– January 29, 1992) was an American blues musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger and record producer. He was proficient in playing both the upright bass and the guitar, and sang with a distinctive voice, but he is perhaps best known as one of the most prolific songwriters of his time. Next to Muddy Waters, Dixon is recognized as the most influential person in shaping the post–World War II sound of the Chicago blues.
Dixon's songs have been recorded by countless musicians in many genres as well as by various ensembles in which he participated. A short list of his most famous compositions includes "Hoochie Coochie Man", "I Just Want to Make Love to You", "Little Red Rooster", "My Babe", "Spoonful", and "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover". These songs were written during the peak years of Chess Records, from 1950 to 1965, and were performed by Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, and Bo Diddley; they influenced a generation of musicians worldwide.
Dixon was an important link between the blues and rock and roll, working with Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley in the late 1950s. In the 1960s, his songs were adapted by numerous rock artists. He received a Grammy Award and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
"You Shook Me" is a 1962 blues song recorded by Chicago blues artist Muddy Waters. Willie Dixon wrote the lyrics and Earl Hooker provided the instrumental backing; the song features Waters' vocal in unison with Hooker's slide-guitar melody. "You Shook Me" became one of Muddy Waters' most successful early-1960s singles and has been interpreted by several blues and rock artists.

You know you shook me, you shook me all night long
Whoa you shook me, pretty mama, you shook me all night long
Oh you just kept on shakin' me baby, oh you done messed up my happy home

You know you move me baby, just like a hurricane (Boy and that's a strong wind)
Oh, you move me, pretty mama (You know you move me)
Just like a hurricane (Didn't have a chance)
Oh-oh , you know you move me, pretty mama
Just like a earthquake move the land (Oh, she shook me all over)

Sometimes I wonder (Ooh)
What's gonna happen to my poor wife and child
Lord, sometimes I wonder (Ooh)
What's gonna happen to my poor wife and child
Now baby, you done made me love you
Lord, I just can't be satisfied

You know you shook me, you shook me all night long
Whoa you shook me, pretty mama, you shook me all night long
Oh you just kept on shakin' me baby, oh you done messed up my happy home.

McKinley Morganfield (April 4, 1913 – April 30, 1983), known professionally as Muddy Waters, was an American blues singer-songwriter and musician who was an important figure in the post-war blues scene, and is often cited as the "father of modern Chicago blues". His style of playing has been described as "raining down Delta beatitude".
Muddy Waters grew up on Stovall Plantation near Clarksdale, Mississippi, and by age 17 was playing the guitar and the harmonica, emulating the local blues artists Son House and Robert Johnson. He was recorded in Mississippi by Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress in 1941. In 1943, he moved to Chicago to become a full-time professional musician. In 1946, he recorded his first records for Columbia Records and then for Aristocrat Records, a newly formed label run by the brothers Leonard and Phil Chess.
In the early 1950s, Muddy Waters and his band—Little Walter Jacobs on harmonica, Jimmy Rogers on guitar, Elga Edmonds(also known as Elgin Evans) on drums and Otis Spann on piano—recorded several blues classics, some with the bassist and songwriter Willie Dixon. These songs included "Hoochie Coochie Man," "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and "I'm Ready". In 1958, he traveled to England, laying the foundations of the resurgence of interest in the blues there. His performance at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1960 was recorded and released as his first live album, At Newport 1960.
Muddy Waters' music has influenced various American music genres, including rock and roll and rock music.
I'm Ready is a studio album by the Chicago blues musician Muddy Waters. The second of his Johnny Winter-produced albums for the Blue Sky Records label, I'm Ready was issued one year after he found renewed commercial and critical success with Hard Again. The album earned Waters a Grammy Award in 1978. It was reissued in 2004 by the Epic/Legacy, with three additional songs.

I'm ready
Ready as anybody can be
I'm ready
Ready as anybody can be
Now I'm ready for you
I hope you're ready for me

I got an axe handle pistol
On a graveyard frame
That shoot tombstone bullets
Wearin' balls and chain
I'm drinkin' TNT
I'm smokin' dynamite
I hope some screwball
Start a fight

'Cause I'm ready
Ready as anybody can be
I'm ready for you
I hope you're ready for me
All you pretty little chicks
With your pretty little hair
I know you feels
Like I ain't nowhere
But stop what your doin'
Baby, come over here
I'll prove to you baby
That I ain't no square

Because I'm ready
Ready as anybody can be
Now I'm ready for you
I hope you're ready for me

I been drinkin' gin
Like never before
I feel so good
I want you to know
One more drink
I wish you would
I takes a whole lotta lovin'
To make me feel good

'Cause I'm ready
Ready as anybody can be
Now I'm ready for you
I hope you're ready for me.

Ela desatinou, viu chegar quarta-feira
Acabar brincadeira, bandeiras se desmanchando
E ela ainda está sambando

Ela desatinou, viu morrer alegrias, rasgar fantasias

Onde anda a canção?
Que se ouvia na noite
Dos bares de então
Onde a gente ficava
Onde a gente se amava
Em total solidão

Hoje eu saio na noite vazia
Numa boemia
Sem razão de ser
Da rotina dos bares
Que apesar dos pesares
Me trazem você

E por falar em paixão
Em razão de viver
Você bem que podia
Me aparecer
Nesses mesmos lugares
Na noite, nos bares
Onde anda você?

Hoje eu saio na noite vazia
Numa boemia sem razão de ser
Da rotina dos bares
Que apesar dos pesares
Me trazem você

E por falar em paixão
Em razão de viver
Você bem que podia
Me aparecer
Nesses mesmos lugares
Na noite, nos bares
Onde anda você?
