No
regrets
Although our love affair has gone astray
No regrets
I know I'll always care though you're away
So now our happy romance ended suddenly
Still in my heart you'll be forever mine
No regrets
Because somebody new looks good to you
No regrets
Sweetheart no matter what you say or do
I know our love will linger
When the other love forgets
So I say goodbye with no regrets
No regrets
Because somebody new looks good to you
No regrets
Sweetheart no matter what you say or do
I know our love will linger
When the other love forgets
So I say goodbye with no regrets

Baby, baby, when I look at you
I get a warm feeling inside
There's something about the things you do
That keeps me satisfied
I wouldn't lie to you, baby
It's mainly a physical thing
This feeling that I got for you, baby
It makes me wanna sing
I feel for you
I think I love you
I feel for you
I think I love you
Baby, baby, when I lay wit' you
There's no place I'd rather be
I can't believe, can't believe it's true
The things that you do to me
I wouldn't lie to you, baby
I'm physically attracted to you
This feeling that I got for you, baby (Ooh baby)
There's nothing that I wouldn't do (For you girl)
I feel for you
I think I love you
I feel for you
I think I love you
Play
I think it's love
I feel for you
I think it's love

[**
feat. Chaka Khan:]
I look in your eyes and I can see*
We've loved so dangerously
You're not trusting your heart to anyone
You tell me you're gonna play it smart
We're through before we start
But I believe that we've only just begun
When it's this good, there's no saying no
I want you so, I'm ready to go
[Chorus:]
Through the fire
To the limit, to the wall
For a chance to be with you
I'd gladly risk it all
Through the fire
Through whatever, come what may
For a chance at loving you
I'd take it all the way
Right down to the wire
Even through the fire
I know you're afraid of what you feel
You still need time to heal
And I can help if you'll only let me try
You touch me and something in me knew
What I could have with you
Well I'm not ready to kiss that dream goodbye
When it's this sweet, there's no saying no
I need you so, I'm ready to go
[Chorus]
Through the test of time
[Chorus]
Through the fire, to the limit
Through the fire, through whatever
Through the fire, to the limit
Through the fire, through whatever

I
used to be so happy
But without you here I feel so low
I watched you as you left
But I can never seem to let you go
Cause once upon a time you were my everything
It's clear to see that time hasn't changed a thing
It's buried deep inside me
But I feel there's something you should know
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
From the day that I met you
I knew that I would love you till the day I die
And I will never want much more
And in my heart I'll always be sure
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Funny how we both end up here
But everything seems so right
I wonder what would happen
If we went back and put up a fight
Cause once upon a time you were my everything
It's clear to see that time hasn't changed a thing
So thoughtful whisper
Do you think I'll ever take you off my mind
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
From the day that I met you
I knew that I would love you till the day I die
And I will never want much more
And in my heart I'll always be sure
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
Till the day I die
Feeling it, loving it
Everything that we do
And all along
I knew I had
Something special with you
But sometimes
You just gotta know
That these things fall through
But I'm still tied
And I can't hide
My connection with you
Feeling it, loving it
Everything that we do
And all along
I knew I had
Something special with you
But sometimes
You just gotta know
That these things fall through
I can't hide my connection with you
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
From the day that I met you
I knew that I would love you till the day I die
And I will never want much more
And in my heart I'll always be sure
I will never forget you
And you'll always be by my side
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
I will never forget you
I will never, never, never, never, never, never,
never, never
I will never forget you
Till the day I die

It
could be a spoonful of coffee
It could be a spoonful of tea
But one little spoon of your precious love
Is good enough for me
Men
lie about that spoonful
Some cry about that spoonful
Some die about that spoonful
Everybody fight about a spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
It
could be a spoonful of water
To save you from the desert sand
But one spoon of love1 from my forty-five
Will save you from another man
Men lie about that spoonful
Some cry about that spoonful
Some die about that spoonful
Everybody fight about a spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
It could be a spoonful of sugar
It could be a spoonful of tea
But one little spoon of your precious love
Is good enough for me
Men lie about that spoonful
Some cry about that spoonful
Some die about that spoonful
Everybody fight about a spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful
CROSSROAD BLUES
ROBERT JOHNSON
SONGWRITER: ROBERT JOHNSON
COUNTRY: U.S.A.
ALBUM: KING OF DELTA BLUES SINGERS
LABEL: VOCATION REC ORDS
GENRE: BLUES
YEAR: 1961
Robert
Leroy Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938) was an American bluessinger-songwriter
and musician. His
landmark recordings in 1936 and 1937 display a combination of singing, guitar
skills, and songwriting talent that has influenced later generations of
musicians. Johnson's shadowy and poorly documented life and death at age 27have given rise to much legend, including the Faustian
myththat he sold his soul to the devil
at a crossroadsto achieve success. As na itinerantperformer who played mostly
on street corners, in juke joints,
and at Saturday night dances, Johnson had little commercial success or public
recognition in his lifetime.
It was
only after the reissue of his recordings in 1961, on the LP King of the Delta Blues Singers, that
his work reached a wider audience. Johnson is now recognized as a master of the
blues, particularly of the Mississippi Delta
bluesstyle. He is credited by many rock
musicians as an important influence; Eric
Claptonhas called Johnson "the most
important blues singer that ever lived." Johnson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fameas an early
influence in its first induction ceremony, in 1986. In 2010, David Frickeranked Johnson fifth in Rolling
Stonemagazine's "100 Greatest
Guitarists of All Time".
"Cross
Road Blues" (more commonly known as "Crossroads") is a bluessong
written and recorded by American blues artist Robert Johnsonin 1936. Johnson performed it as a solo piece with his vocal and
acoustic slide guitar in the Delta
blues-style. The song has become part of the Robert Johnson mythology
as referring to the place where he supposedly sold his soul to the Devil in
exchange for his musical talents, although the lyrics do not contain any
specific references.
Bluesman Elmore Jamesrevived the song with recordings in 1954 and 1960–1961. English
guitarist Eric Claptonwith Creampopularized the song as "Crossroads" in the late 1960s. Their
blues rockinterpretation inspired many cover versions and the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame included it as one of the "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and
Roll". Rolling Stone placed it at number three on the magazine's list of
the "Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time" in recognition of Clapton's
guitar work.
I
