Entretanto, transliterações alternativas de seu nome incluem Sergey ou Sergej,
eRachmaninov, Rachmaninow, Rakhmaninov ou Rakhmaninoff.
Rachmaninoff é tido como um dos pianistas mais
influentes do Século XX. Seus trejeitos técnicos e rítmicos são
lendários, e suas mãos largas eram capazes de cobrir um intervalo de uma 13ª no teclado (um palmo esticado de cerca de 30
centímetros). Especula-se se ele era ou não portador da Síndrome de Marfan, já que se pode dizer que o
tamanho de suas mãos correspondia à sua estatura, algo entre 1,91 e 1,98 m. Ele
também possuía a habilidade de executar composições complexas à primeira

Barry Prendergast, OBE(/ˈbæri/;
3 November 1933 – 30 January 2011) was an English composer and conductor of
film music. He composed the scores for 11 of the James
Bondfilms between 1963 and 1987, and
also arranged and performed the "James Bond Theme"
to the first film in the series, 1962's Dr. No.
He wrote the Grammy and Academy Award-winning scores to the films Dances
with Wolvesand Out
of Africa, as well as the theme for the British
television cult series The Persuaders!,
in a career spanning over 50 years. In 1999, he was appointed OBE at Buckingham Palacefor services to music.
Born in York, Barry
spent his early years working in cinemas owned by his father. During his national servicewith the British Army in Cyprus, Barry began performing as a
musician after learning to play the trumpet. Upon completing his national
service, he formed his own band in 1957, The
John Barry Seven. He later developed an interest in composing and
arranging music, making his début for television in 1958. He
came to the notice of the makers of the first James Bond film Dr. No,
who were dissatisfied with a theme for James Bondgiven to them by Monty
Norman. This started a successful association
between Barry and Eon Productionswhich lasted for 25 years.

the Boardwalk" is a hit popsong written by Kenny
Youngand Arthur Resnickand recorded by The

Rolling Stones, Billy Joe Royal,

The lyric
describes a tryst between a man and his beloved in a seaside town, who plan to
privately meet "out of the sun" and out of sight from everyone else
under a boardwalk.
The instrumentation includes güiro,
triangleand violins. The
song's chorus is unusual in that it switches from a major to minor key. The
opening line of the song references the Drifters' prior hit "Up
on the Roof", showing the occasional
thermal weakness of the rooftop getaway and setting the stage for an alternate
meeting location, under the boardwalk.
