TERESA JAMES &
THE RHYTHM TRAMPS
We have been
wanting to capture our live show for a long time and it's exciting to finally
have recordings that really reflect what we sound like live. These tracks were
recorded at 4 different shows at Bogie's in Westlake Village (thank you, Ken)
and because of everybody's tour schedules, we have 4 different versions of the
Rhythm Tramps - all players that have brought a lot to this band over the
years. I am so incredibly lucky to be able to make music with every
one of these guys and to be able to have all of these players together on this
record is just amazing!
You know there are certain
songs that remind you
Of people we have known
That take you back to
places - you and I both have gone
And there are voices when
you hear them
That make you laugh, make
you cry
Memories that linger come
and go by n by
Through the good times and
bad – they touch us one and all
When the blues come
knockin’ - when the blues come to call
Tied to the Whipping Post’
it was - the first time I heard him sing
That voice that reached me
deep down
Man, he could sing anything
I didn't know yet who I was
hearing
Didn't know the brothers or
the band
Just knew that what they
were bringing
The heart and the soul I
understand
And now I hear that he
joined his brother…
Yeah he gave the world his
all
The day the blues came
knocking
The day the blues came to
call
Yeah, I just knew that what
he was bringing
The heart and soul I
understand
Maybe he heard Duane say –
Brother, today is your day
And that voice that reached
deep down
Went on to higher ground
The day the blues came to
one and all
The day the blues came to
call
