"Theme
From Dr. Kildare(Three Stars Will Shine Tonight)" is a song written by Jerry Goldsmith, Pete Rugolo and Hal Winn.
The song was
the theme for the television
series Dr. Kildare. The series' lead actor, Richard Chamberlain, released it in 1962 as a single in his first venture
into a singing career.
The single
met with great success, becoming a #10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching #12 on the UK Singles Chart.
Three stars will shine tonight
One for the lonely
That star will shine it's light
Each time that someone sighs
Three stars for all to see
One for young lovers
That star was made to be
The sparkle in their eyes
And for the third star
Only one reason
A star you can wish on
To make dreams come true
High in the sky above
Three stars are shining
I hope that star of love
Will shine down on you
And for the third star
Only one reason
A star you can wish on
To make dreams come true
High in the sky above
Three stars are shining
I hope that star of love
Will shine down on you.
