COCTEAU TWINS
SONGWRITER:
COUNTRY: SCOTLAND
ALBUM: FOUR-CALENDAR CAFÉ
LABEL: FONTANA RECORDS
GENRE: ROCK
YEAR: 1993

Four-Calendar Café is the seventh studio album by Scottish band Cocteau Twins. It was originally released on 18 October 1993 on Fontana. It distinguishes itself from the rest of the Twins' catalogue in two major areas: The sound is much more pop-oriented and less ambient than previous works, and vocalist Elizabeth Fraser's lyrics are more intelligible than usual.
The album took its title from William Least Heat-Moon's book Blue Highways, in which the author considers the quality of a restaurant by how many calendars it has hanging on its wall. NME named it the 46th best record of 1993.
As of 1996, it had sold 146,000 copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan.
It seems things are indicative to, A distinct desire to
Observe such, Heal such
Behave such that makes this hard for me
I'm not real and I deny, I won't heal unless I cry
I can't grieve, so I won't grow, I won't heal 'til I let it go
I'm not real and I deny, I won't heal unless I cry
It seems things are indicative to, A distinct desire to
Observe such, Heal such
Behave such that makes this hard for me

I'm not real and I deny, I won't heal unless I cry
I can't grieve, so I won't grow, I won't heal 'til I let it go(x2)

Cry, cry, cry 'til you know why, I lost myself, identify(x2)

I'm not real and I deny, I won't heal unless I cry
I can't grieve, so I won't grow, I won't heal 'til I let it go.
