Lucky" é uma canção da dupla francesa de house music Daft Punk com
participação de Pharrell
Williams e Nile Rodgers.
É o primeiro single do quarto álbum de estúdio Random Access Memories.
Embora "get lucky", em inglês, seja uma gíria para "fazer
sexo", Pharrell afirmou, em relação à composição lírica, que a música não
é apenas sobre a conquista sexual, mas a sorte em encontrar a química potencial
com alguém. Antes de seu lançamento como um single, "Get
Lucky" foi destaque em propagandas de televisão transmitidos durante Saturday Night Live,
depois que Rodgers e Pharrell anunciaram o seu envolvimento na faixa. Pequenos
trechos também aparecem ao longo da série The
Collaborators. Imediatamente após um dia de seu vazamento, o
single foi lançado como um download digital em 19 de abril de 2013. "Get Lucky"
desde então foi aclamado pelos críticos.

Records. O álbum contem colaborações de vários artistas incluindo Nile
Rodgers, Paul Williams, Giorgio
Moroder, Pharrell Williams, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon,
Panda
Bear e Julian Casablancas. O trabalho no álbum começou
a ser desenvolvido no mesmo tempo em que a dupla criava a Trilha Sonora de Tron
Legacy, em 2010, sem um único plano de como seria estruturado. Pouco depois
que Daft Punk assinou contrato com a gravadora Columbia
Records, começou um gradual lançamento promocionaL do novo álbum, incluindo
outdoors, comerciais de televisão e até séries de internet, como a The
Collaborators. O disco possui uma forte influencia setentista, principalmente
no estilo funk/soul, com diversas
passagens que lembram o disco Songs in the Key of Life de Stevie
Wonder e Off The Wall de Michael
Jackson. É perceptível também a forte influencia do musico Giorgio Moroder,
principalmente na canção Giorgio que utiliza a faixa The Chase da trilha sonora
de Midnight Express (1978) como base para a canção em tributo ao musico
italiano. Ainda, possui uma forte inclinação para o pop, principalmente na
canção com participação de Pharrell
Williams. É o álbum com conteúdo mais diverso da dupla, não primando apenas
pela musica eletrônica. A recepção crítica até agora foi geralmente positiva. O
álbum teve seu prêmio no Grammy como o melhor do ano de 2013
