Bonnie Tyler(born Gaynor Hopkins, 8 June 1951) is a Welsh singer who is known for her distinctive husky voice. Tyler came to prominence with the release of her 1977 album The World Starts Tonight and its singles "Lost in France" and "More Than a Lover". Her 1978 single "It's a Heartache" reached number four on the UK Singles Chart, and number three on the US Billboard Hot 100.
In the 1980s, Tyler ventured into rock music with songwriter and producer Jim Steinman. He wrote Tyler's biggest hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart", the lead single from her 1983 UK chart-topping álbum Faster Than the Speed of Night. Steinman also wrote Tyler's other major 1980s hit "Holding Out for a Hero". She had success in mainland Europe during the 1990s with Dieter Bohlen, who wrote and produced her hit "Bitterblue". In 2003, Tyler re-recorded "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with singer Kareen Antonn. Their bilingual duet, titled "Si demain... (Turn Around)", topped the French charts.
Rocks and Honey was released in 2013 and features the single "Believe in Me", which she performed representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. After reuniting with the producer David Mackay, she released Between the Earth and the Stars(2019) and The Best Is Yet to Come(2021).
Both "It's a Heartache" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" are among the best-selling singles of all time, with sales in excess of six million each. Her work has earned her three Grammy Award nominations and three Brit Award nominations, among other accolades.
Silhouette in Red is the tenth studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was released on 11 October 1993, through Hansa Records. The album became Tyler's final collaboration with German producer Dieter Bohlen.
The album was released in mainland Europe and was a commercial success. The album was certified Gold in Norway through pre-sales, one day before it was released.
Oh I was so in love - Then you broke my heart
I'll never understand - The rules of love
You said to me - True love never dies
- You said to me
Now I'm sleeping with a memory, yeah!

*There is a fire in my soul
Burning don't you know
Can you hear it on the radio
Fire in my soul
Out of my control
Said you love me then you let me go

**Oh, oh, can you hear it on the radio
Oh, oh, can you hear it on the radio

Oh, it's just like a dream - You're mine
When I saw you - The very first time
You looked at me - With those eyes
You said you loved me - I believed your lies
Why do you keep me hangin' on the line
The love you gave me - It's just a waste of time
There is a fire burning up my soul.

*Repeat
** Repeat

Oh I was so in love - Then you broke my heart
No, no this love will never die

I should have seen - Should have known
When you told me - You had to go
So naive - You know
You'd burn me up - Then you'd let me go
Why do you keep me hangin' on the line
The love you gave me - It's just a waste of time
There is a fire burning up my soul.
