Austin Carter Mahone (San Antonio, 4 de abril de 1996) é um cantor estadunidense que adquiriu notoriedade a partir dos vídeos virais postados no YouTube de suas apresentações e covers, vídeos estes que lhe concederam um contrato com a gravadora Chase/Universal Republic, em agosto de 2012. Os seus primeiros singles promocionais, "11:11" e "Say Somethin" foram lançados em 2012, e algum tempo depois lançou a canção "Say You're Just A Friend" com a participação de Flo Rida, e seu primeiro single "What About Love" que fez um enorme sucesso, no final de 2013 lançou a promocional "Banga Banga" e no inicio de 2014 lançou a música "Mmm Yeah" com Pitbull.

The Secret é o segundo EP do cantor, compositor, ator e dançarino estadunidense Austin Mahone. O seu lançamento ocorreu em 27 de maio de 2014 através da Cash Money e Republic Records. O disco possui uma sonoridade inspirada por gêneros como pop, R&B, electronica; enquanto a sua instrumentação é composta por bateria, cordas, baixo, guitarra acústica e guitarra elétrica. As gravações do projeto ocorreram entre 2013 de 2014 sob a produção do próprio cantor juntamente a Rocco Valdes, Michael Blumstein, David Abram, RedOne, Bryan "Baby Birdman" Williams, Ronald "Slim Tha Don" Williams, Austin Mahone, Jimmy Joker, The Futuristics, Cook Classics, Alex Schwartz, Fredrik Thomande,r Tiny Island e Maejor Ali.
