Are You Experienced  foi o álbum de estreia do The Jimi Hendrix Experience, lançado em 1967. O disco destacou a psicodelia de Jimi Hendrix, guitarras distorcidas, e o lançou para o estrelato. Este álbum está na lista dos 200 álbuns definitivos no Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Após desembarcar no Reino Unido em setembro de 1966, sob a guarda de Chas Chandler (baixista do The Animals), eles formaram The Jimi Hendrix Experience com Mitch Mitchell na bateria e Noel Redding no baixo. Após trabalhar com a gravadora Polydor e rapidamente mudar para o mesmo selo do The Who, a Track Records, o grupo lançou três clássicos singles que figuraram entre as 10 mais tocadas na Inglaterra: "Hey Joe", "Stone Free" (Dezembro de 1966), "Purple Haze","51st Anniversary" (Março de 1967) e "The Wind Cries Mary", "Highway Chile" (Maio de 1967). Durante a produção destes singles, The Jimi Hendrix Experience cortou de seu disco de estreia, com a produção de Chas Chandler.
