   THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU" IS A pop standard published in 1934, with music and lyrics by Ray Noble. In addition to Noble's own hit recording of the song with his orchestra, featuring the vocals of Al Bowlly, there was also a popular version recorded that same year by Bing Crosby. A decade later, the song was on the charts again in a version by Vaughn Monroe. In 1946, Luis Russell recorded the song, which went to number three on the Most-Played Juke Box Race Records charts.

Nat King Cole, nome artístico de Nathaniel Adams Coles, (Montgomery, 17 de março de 1919 — Santa Mônica, 15 de fevereiro de 1965) foi um cantor e músico de jazz norte-americano, pai da cantora Natalie Cole. O apelido de "King Cole" veio de uma popular cantiga de roda inglesa conhecida como Old King Cole.

Sua voz marcante imortalizou várias canções, como: Mona Lisa, Stardust, Unforgettable, Nature Boy, Christmas Song, "Quizás, Quizás, Quizás", entre outras, algumas das quais nas línguas espanhola e portuguesa.
