Prism é o quarto álbum de estúdio da artista musical estadunidense Katy Perry. Seu lançamento ocorreu no dia 17 de outubro de 2013, através da Capitol Records. As gravações do projeto ocorreram durante os anos de 2012 e 2013 na Califórnia, nos Estados Unidos e em Estocolmo, na Suécia; com a produção de profissionais como Benny Blanco, Bloodshy, Cirkut, Dr. Luke, Greg Kurstin, Greg Wells, Klas Åhlund, Max Martin e Stargate, assim como a própria cantora. O anúncio da edição do disco foi feito em 29 de julho de 2013 através de um caminhão dourado que revelava o título e a data de lançamento na América do Norte em sua caçamba.

"Roar", primeiro single do material, fez a sua estreia nas emissoras radiofônicas em 10 de agosto e dois dias mais tarde foi disponibilizada para venda virtual na iTunes Store. Mais tarde, a faixa "Unconditionally" foi adicionada às listas de rádios estadunidenses em 22 de outubro seguinte como o segundo foco de promoção, acompanhando o lançamento de Prism no país. Continuamente, "Dark Horse", que conta com a participação do rapper Juicy J, começou a ser trabalhada nas rádios dois meses após. Além destes, "Walking on Air" foi distribuída como gravação promocional em setembro daquele ano, sucedendo a "Dark Horse".
