...Famous Last Words... é o
oitavo álbum
da banda de rock progressivo Supertramp.
Foi lançado em outubro de 1982. O álbum foi a sequência de estúdio de Breakfast in America, de 1979, e foi o último
com o guitarrista, vocalista e tecladista original Roger
Hodgson.
As relações entre Hodgson e Rick
Davies foram se tornando mais tensas. As brigas por motivos musicais, de
criação e pessoais tornaram-se rotina durante a gravação do álbum.
O álbum foi gravado e mixado
principalmente na casa de Hodgson, apelidado de Unicorn Studios, em Nevada
City, Califórnia, uma vez que ele não queria deixar a esposa,
sua filha Heidi, então com 2 anos, e seu filho recém-nascido Andrew sozinhos.
Davies acabou gravando suas partes vocais no seu estúdio caseiro chamado The
Backyard Studios em Encino, Califórnia. Outros overdubs foram
feitos no Bill Schnee Recording Studios, em Los Angeles.
