Moonlight
Sinatra is a studio album by Frank Sinatra,
released in March 1966. All of the tracks on the album are centered on the moon, and
were arranged and conducted by Nelson
Riddle and his orchestra.
The
title of the album is a reference to Ludwig
van Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
I stand at your gate
And the song that I sing is of moonlight
I stand and I wait
For a touch of your hand in a june night
The roses are sign of moonlight serenade
The stars are all aglow
And tonight how their light sets me dreaming
My love, do you know
That your eyes are like stars brightly beaming?
I bring you, and I sing you a moonlight serenade
Let us trace 'til break of day
In loves valley of dreams
Just you and I, a summer sky,
A heavenly breeze, kiss on a tree
So dont let me wait.
Come to me tenderly in a june night.
I stand at your gate
And I sing you a song in a moonlight.
A love song, my darling, a moonlight serenade.
