Bryan Guy Adams OC OBC (born 5 November 1959) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, composer, record producer, photographer, philanthropist, and activist.
Adams rose to fame in Canada and the United States with his 1983 album Cuts Like a Knife. His 1984 album Reckless made him a global star and yielded some of his best-known songs, including "Run to You", "Summer of '69", and the U.S. number one hit "Heaven". In 1991, Adams released the album Waking Up the Neighbours, which included the song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You"; the song became a worldwide hit, reached number one in many countries, and held the top spot in the charts in the United Kingdom for a record 16 consecutive weeks. Other U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit singles by Adams are "All for Love" and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". Adams released his Ultimate collection in 2017; it included two new songs, "Please Stay" and "Ultimate Love". He co-wrote his first Broadway musical, Pretty Woman: The Musical, in 2018.
For his contributions to music, Adams has garnered many awards and nominations, including 20 Juno Awards among 56 nominations and 15 Grammy Award nominations, including a win for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1992. Adams has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and three Academy Awards for his songwriting for films. Adams has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Canada's Walk of Fame, the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. In 2008, Adams was ranked 38th on the list of all-time top artists in the Billboard Hot 100 50th Anniversary Charts. On 1 May 2010, Adams received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for his 30 years of contributions to the arts.
"(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. Written by Adams, Michael Kamen, and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, it featured on two albums simultaneously on its release: the soundtrack album from the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and on Adams's sixth album, Waking Up the Neighbours(1991).
The song was an enormous chart success internationally, reaching the number-one position on the music charts of at least sixteen countries. It is particularly notable for its success in the United Kingdom, where it spent sixteen consecutive weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart, the longest uninterrupted run ever on that chart as of 2020. It went on to sell more than 15 million copies worldwide, making it Adams's most successful song, and one of the best-selling singles of all time. The single sold over 4 million units in the US, the 4th highest selling song of the Soundscan era which started in 1991. The song has been covered by hundreds of singers and artists around the world.

Look into my eyes
You will see what you mean to me
Search your heart, search your soul
And when you find me there
You'll search no more

Don't tell me
It's not worth trying for
You can't tell me
It's not worth dying for
You know it's true
Everything I do, I do it for you

Look into your heart
You will find
There's nothing there to hide
Take me as I am, take my life
I would give it all
I would sacrifice

Don't tell me
It's not worth fighting for
I can't help it
There's nothing I want more
You know it's true
Everything I do, I do it for you

There's no love like your love
And no other could give more love
There's nowhere, unless you're there
All the time, all the way yeah

Oh, you can't tell me
It's not worth trying for
I can't help it
There's nothing I want more
I would fight for you
I'd lie for you
Walk the wire for you
Yeah, I'd die for you

You know it's true
Everything I do
I do it for you.
